“My goal is to change the world, and if I can’t… then I’ll be the spark that sets the world ablaze for change.”

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised part time in Queens and the DC Metro area of Maryland, P.A.T. (Powerful Artistic Truth) is the epitome of an “Artistpreneur.”  Being a first generation American and brought up by a Guyanese family, P.A.T. never felt fully accepted by anyone. “I felt like an outcast, I didn’t talk with an accent, and in school I was never trendy like everyone else and I didn’t walk, talk or act like anyone else.” Through different trials and tribulations in his life, P.A.T. learned to become his own man; someone who’s one of a kind and not what everyone else feels he should be.  P.A.T. is the “Creative Soul of Rebellion.” “I’m a Taurus so I’m stubborn… I think my stubbornness works to my advantage, because I don’t give up on things easily. I’m not a quitter.”

Being born in New York and raised in the birthplace of Hip Hop for some time P.A.T. was exposed to many different genres of music, but it was the Rap game that struck a cord and still tugs at the heartstrings of this “Modern Day Urban Renaissance Man.” “Even though I was very young, I can still remember the Golden Era of Hip Hop and how electric and fruitful Rap was at the time.  P.A.T. can recall a favorite childhood memory while during a visit with his grandmother being scolded for rapping Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Shimmy Shimmy Ya belting at the top of his lungs “OOOH BABY I LIKE IT RAW!!!!!!!!!!!” Being so young at the time, that experience solidified P.A.T.’s love and appreciation for Hip Hop.

In addition to his recording career P.A.T. also known as Pat Fraser possesses a Bachelors degree in graphic design from the prestigious Towson University.  He’s also an accomplished on-stage, small and big screen actor. Most notably for his roles in the hit HBO TV series “The Wire.”

What makes P.A.T. the pinnacle of MC’s is his uniqueness and strong personality. “I’m truly one of a kind, I’m a leader not a follower; I usually go right when everyone else goes left.” Frank Sinatra said it best, “I did it my way.” “Whatever I do and however I do it, I do it my way.” P.A.T.’s flow is truly unique.  He creates abstract rhymes with a complex, off-kilter approach to storytelling and an array of awe-inspiring punch lines, metaphors, and one-liners which make weaker MC’s faux grill fronts tarnish with envy.  P.A.T.’s lyrics display a combination of a high-level of consciousness, cutting-edge wit and an uncanny sense of humor. “I love lyricism.  I love everything else too, like beats, hooks, melodies, etc., but lyrics are a top priority for me.  In my opinion lyrics are the foundation of Rap as a music genre as well as social commentary and an outlet for our voices to be heard.”

In regards to what P.A.T. does best, it’s to set pen to pad and come up with the most mind-blowing lyrics that not only evoke emotion, but change.  Change that is both quotable and will be remembered for years to come.

When asked what P.A.T.’s goals are in the music industry, as true to form P.A.T.’s response is thought-provoking. “I want to be revered and respected as an elite MC.  A top 5 dead or alive MC.  I want my music to spark some change in the world.” P.A.T. creates quality music that is timeless and will be remembered today, tomorrow, and forever.  P.A.T. truly is the definition of Powerful Artistic Truth.
